Alex Brunel - Dean Brunel

Alex was born in New York, then accidentally educated at a boys' boarding school in New England. After Wellesley, she did a post-grad in directing at The Drama Centre in London, worked as qualitative specialist for a global research agency, and spent ten years in private practice as a Gestalt therapist. She now resides in Stratford upon Avon, close to Shakespeare's birthplace.

Alex's career as an international analyst means that her articles deliver exceptional depth and interest. Providing research for top media and public-sector clients has also gained her special expertise in perception and the psychology of the Web.

Alex produces film and TV treatments, articles, poems, reviews and stories. She recently completed a treatment for the counter-cultural thriller, Among Thieves, from the novel by Mez Packer (Tindall Street Press, 2009), and in 2010 wrote Saura's Garden, about the family home and relationships of the European painter, Antonio Saura. She's also one of Ezine's very few Diamond Authors - an accolade won for the quality of her writing and a consistently incisive point-of-view.

Alex loves art, travel, film, family, politics, fieldwork, and fiction.
